Don't be discouraged....

Hi Everyone! I started doing the snowball effect and matters are going a lot better.
Don't stop paying your bills. Pay what you can. Make a list of all of your debts and pay the smallest one first. Once you are doing paying that one, the money you used to pay for that added to your next item on the list, so on and so forth.
I know if will be a while before I'm debt free. But perseverance, discipline, and determination will help you.
Don't be discouraged. I'm sure we all can make it if we stay positive and determine to succeed!
Blessings to you ALL.

Please HELP!

Hi. I'm drowning in debt. I have asked my bank and other banks for help, but no one is willing to give me a loan. I need minimum of $55,000.00 to cover my student loans, my car loan, two loans loans from my retirement to buy the house and credit card. If someone with money is willing to help me out, I will start payments of a $1000.00 a month until debt is paid in full.
Can you help me? I work three jobs and its not enough to cover my expenses.
Please get back to me if you are willing to help. I'm someone who has integrity and is honest.

Do you Believe

Do you believe?

I decided to take a break from life yesterday and I went to go see, “Alice in Wonderland”, in 3D. It was a great movie with a message to it and the message that I picked up was, Do You Believe?

So as I was driving home, and I was thinking. How do I incorporate this message to my life? What do I need to do to put this question in my life to make it better? I did some thinking?

Do I believe that I will get out of debt? Do I believe that I will have more money in my pocket? Do I believe that I will own a home? Do I believe that I will have good opportunities or a better job? Do I believe that things will get better without me stressing over anything? Do I believe?

The message was a strong and it hit a nerve, a nerve of the path that I did not believe in these above things and it made me wonder the many reasons I can’t get out of what I’m in is because I don’t believe. I don’t believe that things will get better, or I get a greater job, or have more money into my life. It’s because I just don’t believe.

Because of me thinking that way, it has put a stop to all better things coming into my life and I see why things are getting worse. It is said, that those who believe the worse will get the worse. Those who believe for the better, get what they want.

As Alice fought the dragon and she said to herself is believe. And by her doing this, she did and went to killing the dragon. All Alice needed to do is believe that she will conquer all. By killing the dragon it showed her the courage that she had in her and she went back to the real world and told all people around her that she believe and she conquered.

So do you believe?

How long has it been since you were debt free? Before you had children? Before you got married? Before you bought your first home? Before college or trade school? Since you moved out of your parents’ home? Does it seem like you have always owed someone money? It doesn't have to be like that. The first thing you need to learn is how to live on the money you make now; not what you hope to make tomorrow. Too many real estate sales people have used that method to sell homes to individuals that are more than they can handle. Today, many people who were talked into a subprime mortgage, are now facing bankruptcy. There is no magic to getting out of debt or repairing your credit. The people that tell you that they can fix all your problems are most likely giving a dramatic exaggerating of what they do. If you think back to when you wanted to buy that expensive (or not so expensive) item, and you went to the banker and wanted him/her to give you more credit and they said NO. We complained that the bank will only give you credit when you don’t need it. We, figuratively, got on our knees and begged the banker to financial abuse us some more. We have had they money people teaching us that we deserve everything, whether we can afford it or not.

Now, with all the problems within the economy combined with the wising unemployment many people are begging for help. Are you one of these individuals? If so, I may be able to help. I do not have any magic potions or magic pills. I cannot promise you it will be easy, because it will not. But, if you truly want you make real changes in your financial health, I can help.

The difference between Essential Bills vs Non-Essential Bills

All of us have some type of bill. Whither it’s electric bill, credit card bill or grocery bill.

And a lot of us think that when we get a bill, it’s just a bill that we have, right?  Wrong. Bills are not bills. There are two types of bills that we all have, one type of bill is called essential bill and the other is called non-essential bill. Let’s talk about the differences of these bills.

Before we go any further. I want to explain that, we all have different needs because of where we are in society. Sometimes it’s the people that surrounds us or because we support a family or what our world is like and treating us. When I speak about bills. Some essential bills can become non-essential bills and non-essential bills can become essential bills. But this is where you come in.

On a piece of paper, list all the bills that you have. I’m not saying to put a total to it. Just list it. Then take another piece of paper and draw a line in the middle of the paper. On the top in one column write Essential Bill and the other column write Non-Essential Bill. So you should have two pieces of paper, one with all your bills listed and the other with the two columns on it.

Let me define the bills. Essential Bills, that is something that will keep your basic living and personal growth going in life. These bills will always be with you no matter what you do in life. They are the bills that keep a comfort level with you and allow you to live a descent life. These are bills that whither you make no money or a lot money. You must pay. This is the reason why you work.

Non-Essential Bills, these are bills that you and are not necessary for you to pay. These bills should be and always will be temporary payment of some sort. These bills should have a timetable and should go away at some point in your life. You should never develop a list of these bills. Never because this is the reason why people keep working until the end of their lives because they keep paying non-essential bills.

Here is a list of essential bills. Now some people might have more depending on where they are in life. Remember that more may be added and some bills can be taken off. That is up to you but this will give you a basic understand on how bills stand at. Later I will list non-essential bills. Your essential bills are Electric bill, home gas bill, phone bill, grocery bill, medication bill, water bill, car gas bill, home insurance bill, car insurance bill, personal items bill, home maintenance bill and cleaning supplies bill for the home.

Your non-essential bills are credit card bill, phone bill, cable bill, car payment bill, mortgage, etc..

I lot of people argue with me on the non-essential bills list. Let me explain my position, if you are paying from something that is going to take years to pay off. It’s a non-essential bill. Because the interest is high on it or you are paying for something that should have been bought with cash right away. Now, I’ve made that mistake several times myself and I learned that, why am I charging for something I should have bought right off the bat. It’s like wasting money. Never use Credit Card. The interest alone can kill you and your wallet. So don’t do this. Yes you can avoid them. You’ve done it when you were young. You never had a credit card but you were able to buy what you wanted. Because you learned to save, save for the bike or new outfit. You still have those skills. We adults for get them when we grow up. But the skills are still there. You might have to think that way again. Yes, you can do it.

Cable bill is entertainment; you should not live on this type of entertainment. Did you know that the average American home spend about $125.00 a month on the cable bill, that $1,500.00 per year. Having cable on the TV is useless because when American’s watch TV they spend the majority of time watching only 4 channels and 99% of the time they are watching basic channels. $1,500.00 you can pay a lot of things off with this amount. If entertainment is what you need, watch your basics TV, read a book, spend the time with family and friends, sleep. We are all sleep deprive, take a walk.

Phone bill, now I have this on both list. One phone is a necessary and one is not necessary. Let me explain. Many years ago, I got a cell phone and a land phone. They both worked fine and I like having both. But as time progressed, my land phone never rang. I thought there is a problem. I was giving everyone involved with me my cell phone and never my land phone. For two years my land phone just sat there and I was wasting and throwing that money away every month. I know I had to stop this, so I did. Now I only have one phone and one number. That is all that is needed.

Car payment & mortgage, these bills take a long time to pay off but it can be done. I put them on the non-essential list because even though they take years to pay off and they do provide some type of value. But the value does not start until you pay them off. They can be paid off. The loan to this money is temporary not permanent. You must think of these bills as that. By thinking that way, you will be able to pay them off quicker than you think.

When it comes to essential bills, no matter how hard you fight it. You must have them if you want a comfortable life. You must keep cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. You have to do something to cook your meals or have freedom to feel good. Now these bills can be kept in control and you can do that but you have to figure out what is comfortable to you. I keep my thermostat at 75 year round some people 80. What ever you think is comfort.

I wanted to point this out because people don’t understand the difference of what is needed and what is not needed. This is a guide to help you understand of what you have to pay. Remember to work for what is essential in your life and what is not. By do so, you will have money to play with, save and able to buy for what you want. It’s all about cash.

Life Transitions

I'm doing much better these days, but I am still living paycheck-advancement to paycheck-advancement.   I can't sell my Xterra because I'm upside down on it.  Selling my car would help me out SO much!  I owe over 11K on it, but its only worth 9,450.00.  Not too bad, but still, I can't afford a car payment and turning it in to the Bank would ruin my credit, that I'm trying to rebuild.  I pray that I can sell my XTerra very soon, and be able to raise enough funds to purchase a car for 3K hard cash.

I'm getting married in Oct of this year.  We attend Fellowship Church in Grapevine and are having the time of our lives serving the Body of Christ.  I see the light at the end of this financial tunnel... so close!  I'll be debt free by then, thanks to a friend who will let me live with them until I get married rent free!  If I can get rid of my Xterra too... otherwise, I'll have that to keep paying off for a while.  And the insurance on it is WAY too much!

I'm reading a book by Dave Ramsey called "Total Money Makeover".  We are very excited about this book and hope to achieve what it says within the next year.

But for now, we need help with the small debt we have.  If I sold the car at the NADA price I'd have roughly 2K left to pay and then my CC debt of 1600.00  With not paying rent starting in June, I can put 300.00 a month towards that, BUT if I could sell my XTerra, I could put double that!  I think my Sweetheart only has a couple hundred on his CC.  So it seems to be just me that has to get things in order.  I also have a 300.00 speeding ticket I got back in '05 I need help with.  Along with paying back a friend 500.00.  Total for me?...

$4,400.00 and also a nice car to drive.. payment free (so I can get rid of mine)

Please help if you can, and also keep this transitional time of my life in prayer... we have the wedding covered!  Praise God!

Set Me Free

               May 3, 2007

To Whom It May Concern:

I am in search of someone who can help me pay off my debt.  Today I received a letter from a sheriff saying there was a levie on my home unless I paid the account in full or made payment arrangements.  I contacted the sheriff; he referred me to the attorney’s office, which refused to allow me to set up payments because I would not release all the information they were asking for.  I confirmed my name and telephone number but I refused to give my place of employment therefore I was refused arrangements.  I do not know when they are talking about selling my house but if I can get some help to keep my house not only will I be forever Blessed but so will you.

My status, I a single mom of one child.  I was working three to four jobs until it took a toll on me physically.  Now I am down to working one job and back to financial problems.
